We have now been able to experience a whole decade full of beautiful and unforgettable events with our Gabi - even the coach likes to do a lap of honor for this..... Gabi is an important calming influence in the company and, as a team assistant, an enrichment every day with her always amiable manner. Only "milestone anniversaries" are celebrated with the entire GE family - nevertheless, another highlight: Martin Zieglmeier, who has been with the company for 25 years, is celebrating his "silver wedding anniversary" today! The gratitude that Gammel Engineering feels for such valuable, loyal employees and the anticipation of many more years was the subject of Gudrun Gammel's laudatory speech. After the tribute, we all started the new working week in a good mood with a small drink and snacks. Here's to the next 10 years at GE, Gabi!
As the Gammel Engineering family, we are not only proud of the results of our exciting daily work, but also of each individual in the team. When team members recommend us as an interesting, value-based employer and this results in a new employment relationship, we are of course particularly pleased. The recipient of our special bonus of EUR 500 from the "Employees recruit employees" campaign in October is Martin Birnböck, who we have Stefan Huber to thank for his support. We are sure that we have a lot of good things to come! We are delighted to have gained additional years of professional experience as well as youthful energy for our team in this way.
Back in March, the management surprised the entire team with the good news that this year's company outing was going to Prague. In October, the time had come - Gudrun and Michael Gammel, together with the "organization team" and Wolff Ost-Reisen, put together an unforgettable, brilliant programme for 48 participants:
At the end of September 2023, after a long planning phase, the ground was broken for the new building and modernization of the St. Martin Social Paediatric Centre and the Interdisciplinary Early Intervention Centre of the Catholic Youth Welfare Service Regensburg. We are delighted that this represents another very important step towards creating a modern treatment and advice center for children with developmental problems and disabilities and their families for the entire East Bavarian region in Regensburg. Many thanks to the client KJF for their trust in our team for this flagship project!
The Technology Park in Ingolstadt was officially opened. Among other things, Audi's new vehicle safety center and the largest location of the software company CARIAD can be found in this prestigious project. Around 100 million euros were invested in the Audi vehicle safety center with a 250-meter run-up track, a mobile 100-ton crash block and the ability to collide two vehicles at a 90-degree angle. Of course, the well thought-out energy concept, which makes the site a model project in terms of sustainability, deserves special mention. The concentrated power and expertise of Gammel Engineering was brought to bear. For example, we planned the functional building, installed reversible heat pumps for heating and cooling, dynamically simulated the building in the LowEx network of the in-campus with TRNSYS and reduced the energy requirement and the technology to be used to a minimum.
Following our first aid courses and Word training in the first half of the year, we are of course continuing our in-house training for everyone in the team in the second half of the year. We consistently implement suggestions and requests from employees: Under the direction of Mr. Brunner (IHK Akademie Regensburg), we have started a two-day in-house training course "Excel for advanced users". Furthermore, Mr. Moosberger from G & W Software AG in Munich trained our employees in "California". Training courses for designers and design engineers to optimize skills in BIM and REVIT take place on an ongoing basis. Gammel Engineering would like to thank the excellent speakers for expanding our knowledge. Many thanks also to the dedicated employees who qualify themselves and our company by participating in training courses and actively help to shape the training program. Thanks to the team!
The expansion of environmentally friendly district heating is the essential building block of the future heat supply for cities, municipalities and areas. The municipality of Gräfelfing is prepared for the current political demands and is already implementing them! As the Münchner Merkur reported on 07.09.2023, the first pipes for the municipality of Gräfelfing's comprehensive district heating network have long since been laid on the construction site. The team from Gammel Engineering GmbH, which specializes in highly efficient energy systems, was awarded the planning contract in the EU-wide tender competition together with our local cooperation partner IB Krombach (civil engineering). This allows us to contribute more than 35 years of district heating experience and a great deal of passion to this complex future energy project. We are already looking forward to the first district heating supply through the Gräfelfing municipal network.
This was the motto of this year's summer party in the Gammel Engineering garden on September 9th. The entire team and their partners were cordially invited to an unforgettable day. We started at 9.30 a.m. with a get-together and plenty of time for coffee, cake or a hearty snack. Many of us hadn't seen each other for a long time and were really looking forward to seeing each other.
The Most Reverend Bishop Rudolf Voderholzer, Pastor Georg Birner and Pastor Thomas Stummer visited our office and the work of the GE team in Abensberg as part of the deanery visit. Thanks to the wonderful weather, we started with lunch in the garden. Of course, the table conversations were already about our passion - the future of energy. Afterwards, our Head of Project Development, Dr. Stefanie Reil, gave a presentation on the topic of "Laudato si - Preserving Creation", in which she presented the energy engineers' view of the greatest challenge facing humanity as an introduction to the discussion. Based on 35 years of experience and our numerous concrete customer-specific project examples, we were also able to develop good solutions for church facilities. We would have liked to discuss further, but the schedule was tight at 2 1/2 hours....
We are looking forward to the visit of Bishop Rudolf Voderholzer from Regensburg to our headquarters in Abensberg next Thursday, 21.09.2023 as part of his "Hinein ins Bistum" deanery visit. Dr. Stefanie Reil will speak on the topic of "The Creation Encyclical "Laudato Si" - Solutions from the Perspective of Technology and Science" and will also shed light on the challenges of preserving creation from this perspective. We are looking forward to the bishop's visit and exciting discussions.
These are the words used by Mr. Cetin Yasasin, Head of Heat Generation and Systems, to describe the Kelheim biomass cogeneration plant. It has now been operating successfully for 11 years and Gammel Engineering looks back with pride on this, one of our many successful projects not only in the district of Kelheim. The city council and the Kelheim public utility company had the foresight to decide that the concept was strategically correct and decided to build, plan and operate the energy system and to develop and expand the district heating system. Municipal heating planning in our district town began with foresight and a forward-looking approach long before the commitment that has now been agreed. A successful example of how heat and electricity can be produced sustainably from natural waste wood! Our team is pleased about the many years of advisory cooperation in the strategic development and planning of future energy in Kelheim.
